Date Night Neutral Glam Makeup Look

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Mine is going great, manageable pain level and decent amount of energy.

Today’s look was from 12-19-22. I had a doctor’s appointment and then hubby and I spent the day together. We even went to the movies. We watched Avatar the Way of Water in 3D… Absolutely loved the movie… I actually liked it more than the 1st one.

I wanted to wear my dark brown lipstick so I did a neutral glam look.

For this look I used shades from 3 palettes….

1. Juvia’s Place The Nubian Earth Palette ($20 for 4.8 oz / 136.1 g of total product making it $1.66, 0.4 oz / 11.34 g of product per pan at Ulta), I’ll refer to this one as JP.

2. Uoma Beauty Make It Black Freedom Palette ($44 for 0.42 oz / 12 g of total product making it $4.40 and 0.042 oz / 1.2 g of product each pan), I’ll refer to this one as UF.

3. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette in color way #6 Smokey ($28 for 0.216 oz / 6.12 g of total product making it $4.66, 0.036 oz and 1.02 g of product per pan at Sephora and Ulta), I’ll refer to this one as FS.

It’s smokey but also light… I wanted drama without it getting too dark and grungy so I chose a redder tone for the mobile lids.

On to the walkthrough and pictorial for this look…

Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then I filled them in using LA Girl Brow Pomade ($5.99 for 0.11 oz / 3.12 g of product at Ulta) in the shade dark brown.I cleaned up the top part of the brow using the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 on their website) in the shade Creme (Very fair with warm peach undertones) and the bottom of the brows using my P Louise Base ($12 on their website and on the Morphe website) in the shade Rumour 05, I also primed my lids with this primer.

Starting with the UF palette I used a fluffy crease brush and the shade GARVEY (cinnamon – matte) all through my crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids.

Using a slightly more tapered fluffy crease brush I used a combo of the shades #9 (light brown – matte) and #12 (chocolate brown – matte) from the JP palette to define the crease only.

From the FS palette I took the shade Tan Linez (dusty deep brown – matte) on a small bullet crease brush and defined the outer v of the crease

Next I took a concealer brush and a bit more of the primer and applied it to the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids.

Using a fluffy packer brush I went into the JP palette using shade #4 (light Beige Nude – matte). I applied it to the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids and then flipping the brush over I went into the UF palette using more of the shade GARVEY (cinnamon – matte) over the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid.

Using a tiny detail brush and a small bead of NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Ulta) I applied it to the inner 2/3 of the mobile lids.

I then wiped the detailer brush off and went into the UF palette, picking up the shade X (amber with a red shift – duochrome metallic) I tapped that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids and then flipping the brush over I went into the shade NKRUMAH (neutral bronze – metallic) and tapped it over the inner 1/3 of the mobile lids.

For the bottom lashline I kept it simple. Using a pencil brush I first applied a drop shadow using the shade GARVEY (cinnamon – matte) from the UF palette and then deepened it closest to the lashline using Tan Linez (dusty deep brown – matte) from the FS palette. I then lined my water lines using Sephora Collection 12 Hour Contour Pencil Eyeliner ($11 for 0.04 oz / 1.13 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Cocoa #14 (shimmer warm brown). To highlight my inner corners I used a bit of highlighter.

Complexion:

I tested a new primer for my face, Uoma Trippin Smooth Primer ($29 for 1oz / 30 ml of product on their website). I then contoured using LA Girl HD Pro Concealer ($4.99 for 0.28 oz / 8.28 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade truffle. For foundation today I used Uoma Say What?! Foundation ($39 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at ulta) in the shade Fair Lady T2C. I color corrected using NARS Radiant Creamy Liquid Color Corrector ($30 for 0.20 oz/ 6 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Light (light peach to color correct light to medium skin tones) and concealed using Milk Flex Concealer ($28 for 1.41 oz / 39.97 g of product on their website) in the shade Porcelain (very fair with neutral undertones). For bronzer I used  E.L.F. Electric Mood x Pitizion De La Soul Cream Face Quad (limited edition no longer available) in the shade Golden Hour (the bronzer) and then topped that with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural ($31 for 10g/0.35oz at MAC) in the shade Give Me Sun (light summer peach tan). For highlighter I used E.L.F. Electric Mood x Pitizion De La Soul Cream Face Quad (limited edition no longer available) in the shade Feeling Sparkly (highlight shade) and topped that off with I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Highlighter Tangled ($8 for 0.24 oz . 6.9 g of product on their website). I used NARS Liquid Blush ($30 for 0.5 oz/ 15 mL at Sephora) in the shade Torrid (warm coral with golden shimmer) and topped it with ColourPop Cookie Cluster Cheek Palette ($12 for 0.30 oz / 8.6 g of product on their website) Using the shade oh gingersnap (bright pinky coral matte). I used Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder ($8 for 1.12 oz / 32 g of product at Ulta) in the shade translucent for setting the under eyes and Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder ($35 for 0.35 oz / 10 g of powder on their website) in the shade (light). I then sprayed my face with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray ($21 for the 1.1 oz/ 34 ml size and $36 for the 3.3 oz / 100 ml size as Sephora and the Charlotte Tilbury website) and used Huda Beauty GloWish Luminous Pressed Powder ($33 for 0.35 oz / 10 g of product on their website) in the shade 01 FAIR (fair skin tones with neutral undertones) as a finishing powder (I also used it as a touch up powder throughout the day).

Lips, Lashes, and Finishing:

I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (this shade no longer available) in the shade BFF4 (deep brown). I topped the lips using Juvia’s Place Nubian Earth Lipstick ($15 for 0.13 oz / 3.7 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Sheeba (cool toned dark chocolate brown) and topped the center of the lips off with Juvia’s Place Nubian Earth Lip Gloss ($14 for 0.12 oz / 3.8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Oasis (shimmery copper gold). I coated my lashes in 1 coat of Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara ($11.99 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Ulta) in the shade blackest black and popped on a pair of Ardell Mega Volume 235 lashes (discontinued)

Final Thoughts:

I truly loved this look, hubby said it was super pretty and I did get heaps of compliments on it as well.

I used the same perfume that I’ve been using all week…

Estée Lauder Beautiful Belle Eau de Parfum ($78 for the 1 fl oz / 30 ml size and $99 for the 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 size at Ulta)… it has scent notes of: Top notes are Mimosa, Litchi and Rose. Middle notes are Gardenia, Tuberose and Orange Blossom. Base notes are Marzipan, Suede, Musk, Orris and Ambroxan.

Well that’s it for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Spoonie darling please remember to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
