Tarte Treasures Collector Collection Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! I hope you are having a great day/night. I woke up feeling off today. My body hurts tons and I feel like I have a very little supply of spoons. I took my shower but knew I didn’t have enough strength to do blow out my hair and do my makeup so I chose to just leave my hair curly today. Hopefully I will have more spoons tomorrow to blow out my hair… if not curly will be the new norm until my spoons replenish. For today’s look I used the Tarte Eye and Cheek Palette ($30 on sale on the Tarte website) from the Treasures Collector’s Set. Well… let’s jump into the Face of the Day …..

Base: I primed my face using the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Primer ($9 on their website) and then I blurred my pores using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta, Sephora. and their website). My foundation today is the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Luminous Makeup ($14 on their website) in Natural Beige M1. I used Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer ($10 on their website) in L 3-4 Light. I set my face using Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting the Tone Finishing Powder ($14.99 on their website) in the shade Light. To warm up the face I used Milani Baked Bronzer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade Dolce. I then set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, bridge of the nose, and center of the forehead using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 at the Beautylish website).

Eyes: I primed my lids with Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey and then set that with the color Wonderland (a creamy white matte). For my transition shade I used the color Nutmeg (light brown matte). To define the crease I used the color Hot Cocoa & Chill (a mid-toned warm brown matte). I used Giving (a burgundy matte) to deepen the outer v and also took that same color to deepen the outer 1/2 of my mobile lid and I also smudged it along the lower lash line. On the inner 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the color Cranberry Kiss (a cranberry luster) and then used Foiled (a rose gold metallic) on the middle 1/3 to blend the outer and inner 1/3 together. I then went back into Nutmeg to smoke out the lower lash line as a drop shadow. I lined my waterlines using Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Liner ($5 on their website) in the color Nude. I did my brows using the Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5 and set the brows in place using Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel ($22 at Ulta). I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlight ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and set the brow line using more of the shade Wonderland. For mascara today I am using Physicians Formula Eye Booster Lash Contortionist Mascara ($11.49 on sale for $5.79 on their website) in Ultra Black.

20200127_135323 Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am using the shade Bow-Tied (a soft rose matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, center of my forehead, chin, and Cupid’s Bow using the shade Glow SZN (a soft champagne). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($7 on their website) in the shade Lumiere (a dusty mauve) and filled in my lips using Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick ($22 at Ulta, Sephora, and on theri website) in the color Patina (a dusty mauve matte).

Final Thoughts:

Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer: A+++                                                                     I finally figured out how to use this primer the right way! I used a small dab of product on each area I needed it on and pressed it into the skin rather than buffed it in. It left my pores invisible!!! I think this may be my favorite pore primer ever!!!! A little goes a long way and it doesn’t pill up when you put another primer over top of it.

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Luminous Makeup: A+++!!!!                                                      OM sweet baby pickles!!!! Every time I use this foundation I fall deeper in love. This is the most dewy, creamy, satin finished foundation ever!! It looks so stinking beautiful on the face. I wont drone on about it since I already did a Full Face Flower Beauty Review and I’ve gushed about this foundation in other posts as well… but DOLLS….. If you are looking for the most beautiful glowy skin ever … this foundation is the one!!!!

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer: A+++!!!!                                            This was the concealer that I purchased after my mishap with the concealer I purchased for the review I listed above …. DOLLS …. oh my OOOOH MY!!!! This is a beautiful full coverage concealer that does not crease and does not crack. I don’t even need a corrector with this one. Love … just love …..

Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting the Tone Finishing Powder: A++                        I finally was able to purchase the right shade of this finishing powder…. I did a Full Face Review of Physicians Formula  in which I reviewed this powder already. I am so glad I have it in the correct shade. It’s beautiful on the face and does not emphasize pores or lines. It leaves the face perfected.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel: B+                                                                                     I don’t get the hype about this brow gel. I really don’t. It’s just an OK brow gel and there are many at a lower price point that work the same if not better than this one. I’ll finish using this one up but I wont be repurchasing it.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster Lash Contortionist Mascara: A++                                            This mascara is nice. Again I reviewed it already so I’ll just say as I use it more, I like it more. It doesn’t feel as heavy as it did the first time I tried it.

Stilla Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick: A-                                                                                          This formula is nice, but the inner rim of the lip gets crumbly, but I was able to circumvent that by using my lip balm. It dries down completely matte and doesn’t feather or travel outside the lip line. It doesn’t remain sticky and it doesn’t emphasize the lines of my lips either. This is the only shade I own but I love it enough that I will purchase other shades.

Tarte Eye and Cheek Palette from the Treasures Collector’s Set: A+++!!!!                                 I really love this palette!! It’s an all in one palette. It has 2 blushes, 2 highlights, and 9 eye shadow shades. The shadows are buttery and finely milled. There is some kickback in the pans but zero fallout on the face. The shades blend out easily and the buff into one another without going patchy or muddy. There is enough shade variation that you can get a few different looks without having to repeat looks. The blushes are super pigmented and buff into the cheeks without going patchy. The highlighters are beautiful!! They don’t have glitter in them and they do not emphasize texture in the skin.  This palette is a great weekend get away palette. If you are looking for a nice go to all in one palette… this is the one!!

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope you have a great rest of your day/night. And remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

p.s.   I noticed that I hadn’t highlighted the inner corners of my eyes so I did using the same highlighter I used on my face and it made the shadow pop more ….

Ta ta for now.

XOXO
