20200303_213659
Just received my beauty purchases from last week today

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you’re having a great day/night. I’m coming to you with a new makeup haul…. so let’s jump in and see what i purchased…. *Side Note* All swatches are done on bare skin with no primer and with only 1 pass of my finger. I will leave the links to as many products as I can that I have purchased just in case you’re interested in purchasing any of the items for yourself…. Please note, I purchased all products myself and none of these links are affiliate links.

Let’s start this off with a few beauty room necessities ….

These are the hand towels I use at my makeup vanity in the morning to wipe my brushes on and to dab extra makeup off onto. I also use these to wipe away any makeup residue on my vanity. I fold them into 1/4 and use 1 side a day for 4 days and then pop them into the wash. I get them from Amazon for $22 for a 12 pack and find that I only need to purchase them 1 to 2 times a year.

I purchased these laundry bags (a 2 pack of 3) from Amazon for $8 to use with reusable bamboo facial rounds that I purchased… I will be getting them in the mail tomorrow and wanted to wash them before using them and so I needed a laundry bag…. the facial rounds come with 1 but all the reviews I read said that the bag was too small to wash more than 2 so I thought I’d try a bigger bag …. look out for my review of both this bag and the facial rounds later this week.

I needed more acrylic storage for my pressed powders, blushes, and highlighters that did not fit in the storage towers that I already had, so I purchased another one. I now own 4 and I love them so much…. I have 1 for my bronzers, 1 for my blushes and my highlighter, 1 for my pressed powders and 1 that has the spill of bronzers, blush, pressed powders, highlighters. These can be used standing up like you see in this picture or laying down in a drawer…. they fit perfectly in the drawers of the Alex 9 drawer unites you can purchase at Ikea and are each compartment is tall enough that you can typically store 2 pieces in each one.  Each unit is 8 1/2 inches wide by 2 and 1/2 inches deep and 9.8 inches tall and each compartment is 3 wide long by 1.75 inches tall. The company that makes these little gems is call By Alagory and Amazon sells them for $22.

I needed a new acrylic covered makeup brush holder but the ones that I have are no longer being sold so I had to go with a different design. The company that makes this style is called Newslly and Amazon sells it for $39.

The two pictures on the left are my original acrylic makeup brush holders. I’ve had them for 2 years and really need to by some acrylic cleanser to get them as clear as the new on the right. The top picture of the left side holds all my foundation brushes, medium sized powder brushes, and big fluffy powder brushes. The one on the bottom of the left side hold all my eye brushes and brushes I call utility brushes (stuff like nose contour, gel liner, concealer, and fan brushes just to name a few). In the new brush unit I store my contour and bronzer brushes, blush brushes, duo fiber and highlighter brushes.

And on to the makeup purchases….

Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer: I purchased mine off Amazon for $11.99 for 1 fluid ounce. This primer is billed as an AGE-DEFYING PRIMER: Infused with 5 Filtering Luminescent Pearls to blur imperfections & deliver a spotlight glow, this age-defying primer blurs, corrects & protects, making your complexion radiant. This is such a pretty face primer! I have been enjoying it the past 2 days. In the pictures bellow the one on the left is without flash and the one on the right is with flash.

Catrice Cosmetics Light Correcting Serum Primer: I purchased this off the Ulta website for $10.99 for .494 fluid ounces. This is billed as having a candlelight-inspired golden shimmer that can be added  to your foundation for a subtle illuminating effect, or apply alone for a highlighting glow and can also be added to your body lotion for an all-over glow. This is a repurchase for me. I’m almost out of the one I purchased when I did my full face Catrice look and review and I just love this product so darn much! It makes every foundation look so dewy and so pretty. I have even worn it alone when I’m not wearing makeup. In the pictures bellow on the left is without flash on the right is with flash.

I purchased all 3 of these on the Ulta website.

Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation: I purchased this foundation at Ulta for $12.99 for 1 fluid ounce in the shade 202 Creamy Natural. It comes in 12 shade with 4 shades for deeper skin tones and is billed as a pro foundation with an all day glow with up to 24 hours of wear. I’ve never tried this one before so I will use it in my Face of the Day post for tomorrow. The pictures bellow are left is no flash and right is with flash.

Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow Concealer: I purchased this at Ulta for $9.99 for .21 fluid ounces of product in the shade 01 Classic Ivory. It comes in 8 shades with 2 for deeper skin tones. I think I have used this before but I can’t remember what I thought about it… I will use it in tomorrow’s post as well

this is the concealer with flash … I forgot to take a picture of it without flash.

Loreal True Match Lumi Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops: I purchased this at Ulta for $14.99 for .25 fluid ounces in the shade 507 Day Break. There are 2 shades, this one and a more bronzed color. Just from the swatch I can tell that a very little bit goes a long way and that this is super pigmented. There is no glitter in this liquid highlighter. Photos bellow are left no flash right with flash.

Loreal Brow Stylist Definer: I purchased this at Ulta for $8.99 for .003 ounces of product. It comes in 7 shades.  I just ran out of the one I had so this is a replacement. This is a phenomenal brow pencil!

Ardell Latex Free, Vegan Duo Brush-On Adhesive With Vitamins: I purchased this at Ulta for $4.54 on sale (it’s $6.49 regular priced) for .18 fluid ounces. This is the only lash glue I have ever used and this one is a back up because I’m down to 1 back up and 1 that is almost done.

The next products I purchased of the Profusion Cosmetics  website. The first 4 pictures are all part of the 19pc Makeup Brush Bundle I purchased this for $69.99 on sale (it’s normally $92). I did not take pictures of 5 of the brushes because they are duplicates of the brushes I posted in yesterday’s 2 months of makeup brushes review .

The last 2 brushes in this picture came as part of a set in the WAY TO GLOW ILLUMINATING KIT the first one is the precision highlight brush and the second one is the tapered highlight brush…. these 2 brushes are way too small for me to use as a highlighter brush so i have reassigned them as eye crease brushes.

Profusion Iconic 3D Faux Mink Lashes : in the style Big Tease $7.00 for 5 pairs. They look super cute… I will try them out for tomorrow’s Face of the Day post.

20200303_221509
Profusion Way To Glow Illuminating Kit  $15 for 1 fluid ounce of Liquid Illuminator, 3 loose pigment highlighters in the shade Rose Gold, Icy White, and  Champagne, 1 tapered highlight brush, and 1 precision highlight brush.
20200303_221526
The Liquid Illuminator is very thick and a bit fiddly until it’s completely blended in and is billed as being able to blended into your foundation for all over luminosity or used as a base for the highlight powders.

The right picture is without flash and the right one is with flash.

The loose highlighting pigments… rose gold, icy white, and champagne. The left picture is no flash and right picture is with flash.

Profusion Lash Out Loud Mascara : $4 and is billed as being equipped with buildable fibers you can actually see, take your lash game to the next level with this clump-free formula that instantly lifts, volumizes and lengthens your lashes.

20200303_221310
Profusion Good Brow Day 2pc Kit : $8. Comes in 4 shades, I purchased it in the shade Dark Brown.

Profusion Eye and Cheeks Artistry Palette : $10 and comes with 12 eyeshadow shades, 4 blush shades, 2 highlight shades, and 1 pro series brush. The brush that comes with this palette is really good quality … as good of a quality as the rest of their brush line is, that’s super impressive because normally the brushes that come in palettes are crapy. Let’s take a closer look at the palette…..

Left is with no flash, right is with flash. From left to right the shades are: Lush (muted peach satin blush), Breath Taking (a mid-toned coral satin blush) Diamonds (a gold toned champagne highlighter), Great (a berry satin blush), Bashful (a blue-toned pink satin blush) and Heartfelt (a champagne highlight).

Left is with no flash, right is with flash. From left to right the shades are: Whipped (a bright cream matte), Love (a mustard tan matte), Antique (a gold metallic), Honest (a dusty peach matte) Mic Drop (a bronze metallic), Cookie (a terracotta brown matte).

Left is with no flash, right is with flash. From left to right the shades are: Chatty (champagne metallic), Embrace (a grey-toned tan matte), Terrific (a taupe metallic), Bestie (a grey-toned mid brown matte),Comeback (a deep camel brown matte), and Tease (a very deep grey toned brown matte).

The blushes in this palette felt a bit chalky but swatched creamy. The matte eye shadows seam hard pressed but swatch amazingly smooth. The metallics are creamy and very pigmented.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Thanks for spending time with me. Stay tuned tomorrow when I try on as many of these new products as possible. Remember, save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
