Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I woke up to a very cold day here in Florida. The cold always makes my Rheumatoid Arthritis act up. I can barely move, I am very stiff and of course because of the cold my Fibromyalgia is acting up too.

Today I tried a full face of Catrice Cosmetics products. I didn’t buy a mascara, eye liner, lip liner, or lipstick because I have a huge stock pile of those products that I am trying to get through. I’ll do the review of all of the products in Final Thoughts… so  let’s jump right into the Face of the Day….

Base: I primed the face using Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer ($7.99 at Ulta). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light/Medium. My foundation is a mix of 2 droppers of Catrice Cosmetics Light Correcting Serum Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade Candlelight and 1 dropper of the Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade 030 Sand Beige. I concealed my under eyes using Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer ($5.99 at Ulta) in the shade 005 Light Natural. I set my full face, including my under eyes, using the Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade Transparent. I warmed up the face a combo of the 2 bronzers in the Catrice Cosmetics California In A Box Palette ($12.99 at Ulta) in the color way 010 Malibu Beach Collection.

Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer () in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website). For today’s eye look I used the Catrice Cosmetics Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette ($14.99 at Ulta). For my 1st transition shade I used the color #Squad (a soft peach matte). For my 2nd transition shade I used the color #MOTD (a mid-toned camel brown matte). To deepen my crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade #MCM (a dusty chocolate brown matte). On my mobile lids I used #Twinning (a yellow tone gold shimmer) on the inner 2/3 and then used #MUA (a soft brown with a bronze flip shimmer) on the outer 1/3. I then went into #Goals (a peach with gold shift shimmer) on the middle 1/3 to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. On my lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade #MOTD and then I went in and used more of #MCM. I then used what was left on the brush that I used the shade #Squad on to buff out the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners using #Wifey (a soft pink with a silver flip shimmer). I used the shade #TBT (a deep dusty brown matte) to deepen the outer v and also to deepen my lower lash line. I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in the shade clear and then I filled in my brows using Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49 at Ulta) in the shade 05 Dark Brown.I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the shade #Basic (a creamy vanilla matte). I put on a paid of KoKo Queen B lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) and lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop Creme Gel Colour ($8 on their website) in the shade Stew (a warm brown with a yellow undertones). I tight lined my upper waterlines using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Bull Chic (a matte black) and then I used Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum ($11.49 at Ulta) in the shade Ultra Black to line the very inner corner of my upper lids. I used Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Black on both my upper and lower lashes.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush I used the 2nd blush shade of the Catrice Cosmetics California In A Box Palette ($12.99 at Ulta) in the color way 010 Malibu Beach Collection (a pinkish coral matte). I also used the highlighter (a golden champagne) in this same palette to highlight the tops of my cheeks, center of the forehead, and bridge of my nose. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($7 on their website) in the shade Lumiere (a dusty mauve pink) and then filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Aquarius (a soft pinky nude).

Final Thoughts:

Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer: A++                                               This primer is billed as a light weight primer that gives an instant soft-focus effect for a visibly smooth, pore-free complexion that dries down to a soft powder finish. This primer has a slight scent to it that I didn’t notice when I swatched it last night. It’s nothing to heavy or troublesome, but there is a slight scent non the less. This is a really great primer! It left my face flawless and smooth and my foundation went on easily over it. I liked this primer enough that I can already tell I will repurchase it when I run out.

Catrice Cosmetics Light Correcting Serum Primer: A+ This primer comes in 3 shades: Candlelight, Sunlight, and Morning Glow. It’s billed as a light reflecting liquid primer with a candlelight-inspired golden shimmer that can be add to foundation for a subtle illuminating effect, or applied alone for a highlighting glow. The shimmer in this primer is so subtle but pretty. It had the added benefit of lighting my foundation a bit… the foundation shade I chose is just a hair too deep for me but with 2 drops of this liquid highlighter it helped lighten the foundation perfectly. This gave a beautiful glow to the foundation. It’s not as intense as the Dew Drops from Marc Jacobs. It’s more light the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter only a bit more subtle. I did really enjoy using this priming serum and will keep it part of my collection. I may even repurchase when I run out.

Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation: A++                                                       This foundation comes in 21 shades with 6 shades for out deeper skinned beauties. It’s billed as an ultra-light, high coverage foundation for a natural looking finish that covers  imperfections and mattifies the skin creating a smooth and even complexion for up to 24 hours. This is definitely a full coverage foundation that has a matte finish. The thing about it is that this foundation’s matte doesn’t look like a full on mask like most matte foundations tend to look. At first I did notice it was clinging in weird patches on my forehead, but after I powdered my forehead and used setting spray the foundation melted right into my skin and those patches disappear. It sits on the face wonderfully. I decluttered all my matte foundations because I just don’t like the way they look on the skin. I am so keeping this foundation in my collection and I definitely will be repurchasing it when I run out.

Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer: A+++!!!                          This concealer comes in 17 shades with 4 shades for deeper skin. It’s billed as a long  lasting, liquid concealer for weightless coverage that is highly  pigmented and waterproof formula instantly hides dark circles, imperfections and redness. This concealer is full coverage and demi matte. I left it on a few minutes before setting it with powder to see if it would crease…. it did but once I patted it out again and set it with powder it did not move again. I truly love this concealer. It’s the perfect shade to bring light back to the face and it covered my corrector completely without needing to add more concealer. I have already ordered a back up of this concealer.

Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder: A+++!!!                                             This powder only comes in the shade Translucent. It’s billed as a delicate transparent powder, enriched with Vitamin A and E, creates a flawless complexion that is a waterproof formula that withstands humidity and mattifies skin for hours. I normally hate translucent pressed powders and I always hate mattifying powders, until I tried this powder! This does mattify the skin however it has a slight sheen to it too that gives this healthy glow to the skin. I loved the finish of this one so much I already ordered a back up for it.

Catrice Cosmetics California In A Box Palette: A++                                                                  This use to come in 2 color ways however they currently are only selling the color way 010 Malibu Beach Collection. It’s billed as a palette to create a perfectly defined, radiant complexion. The palette comes with a satin blush, matte blush, satin bronze, matte bronzer, and a highlighter. It’s a great little palette. The under tones of the bronzers are perfect, the blushes are great for any look, and the highlighter is so pretty (no glitter here). This is a great palette for travel. The products do have a bit of kick back in the pans but I believe that is because they are super finely milled. The powders are buttery and buff into the skin very good with no skipping or turning patchy. I am going to keep this one in rotation because I enjoyed it so much.

Catrice Cosmetics Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette: A+++!!!!                                                       This palette is billed as being an Instagram inspired palette featuring 12 intensely pigmented eyeshadows in classic neutral shades with matte and shimmering finishes. I did find that there was some major kick back in the pans, however there was no fallout on the face. The shadows are buttery and super pigmented. The matte shadows blend out well and buff into each other without skipping or getting muddy. The shimmer shades slide on smoothly and with just as much intensity as when I swatched them last night. This is a great palette….. TRULY a great palette. I am almost tempted to pick up a back up in case they discontinue it because I can already tell I will be reaching for this one a ton.

Well that’s all for now dolls. A couple of side notes: #1 If you don’t have an Ulta near you, or you live in a country where you can’t get Ulta delivered to you via the web, you can also get Catrice Cosmetics products on their website, I just happened to purchase them all from Ulta. #2 I may not be doing a Face of the Day tomorrow because we are going to give the house a deep cleaning and I am not sure if I will have enough energy when I’m done cleaning to play with makeup. If I do end up playing with makeup I may just do a super simple everyday no makeup, makeup look. Stay tuned Sunday when I try out the new Too Faced Palette and Loose Setting Powder that I hauled last night. Until then, remember… Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
