February 2021 Haul #3 ColourPop

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing alright today. I’m still having anxiety attacks and am glad tomorrow I will be able to start the new medication to help but for once last night I did not have a panic attack. It feels odd to be in a constant state of anxiety, this is the longest I’ve been in an episode, and I really can’t pinpoint why I’m still there… but the baby step is that I did not allow the anxiety to manifest into a full on panic attack for the first time since Wednesday.

I’m still not ready to sit down and paly in makeup… although I did do a nice face mask and pedicure today… that’s what I chose to use my spoons for. I did however meet with my new Pain Management team and they are FANTASTIC!!!

Since I wasn’t doing makeup today I figure I would set up a haul post for tomorrow in place of my Face of the Day post…. This is the first of 2 purchases I made through ColourPop this month (well… this one was ordered on January 31 but I only just now received it.

So let’s check out the swatches and my first impressions ….

*As always, all items mentioned were purchased by me, all links for the products are simply to help you locate them faster and are NOT affiliate links. All swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are swatched in 1 swipe. The photos on the left or top are taken without flash and the ones on the right or bottom are taken with flash*

ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Gloss in the shade Princess Cut $8 for .42 ounces of product on their website.

This gloss is billed as a hydrating, plumping lip gloss that creates fuller looking lips with the ultimate glassy, high shine finish and comes in 21 shades;

I didn’t bother swatching this one because, well… it’s a clear gloss. I did however apply it to my lips and let it settle in. OK ColourPop…. I see you!!! FINALLY a freaking gloss that claims to plump that ACTUALLY plumps! It’s not harsh like some of the higher end plumping glosses can be. There’s a slight cooling sensation, tons of hydration and a faint minty scent and taste (nothing too toothpaste like just a simple little hint of mint). The plump is not too over the top it just gives volume without the comical puffiness that some plumping glosses give. This gloss has a nice slip to it, lasts a while on the lips and did not cause my lips to feel dry when it wore off. I’m looking forward to trying out other shades and can already tell this one will live in my purse.

ColourPop x Raw Beauty Kristi Crème Gel Liner in the shade Woodsy (mid-tone warm brown) – $7 for .01 ounces of product on their website (though it is currently out of stock).

This liner is billed as the same pigmentation and long-lasting, transfer-proof wear of our Crème Gel Colour Eyeliner in a pencil and comes in 22 shades currently.

What I learned from this swatch…. This liner isn’t as creamy as the ones I recently hauled, however the pigmentation is to die for. This shade, I think, will bring out the subtle caramel highlights in my eyes just perfectly. Event though it’s not as creamy as the others I still feel like it will be able to glide along the waterline just fine.

ColourPop Lippie Pencil in the shade Bossy (classic red) $6 for .32 ounces of product on their website (currently on sale for $3).

This pencil is billed as being able to create clean lines and prevent feathering disasters with a long-wearing and super pigmented formula designed to be worn under your fave matching lip colour and come sin 25 shades currently (plus 2 pencil vaults).

I swatched this simply to show you the shade… I’m already very familiar with the formula so I don’t really have a first impression other than to say this shade is the PERFECT red.

ColourPop Lippie Pencil in the shade Bichette (deeper true red) $6 for .32 ounces of product on their website.

This pencil is billed as being able to create clean lines and prevent feathering disasters with a long-wearing and super pigmented formula designed to be worn under your fave matching lip colour and come sin 25 shades currently (plus 2 pencil vaults).

Again, I just swatched this one to show you the shade… I think I might like this one a bit more than I like Bossy since I have a love affair with deeper red shades.

ColourPop Light My Fire Lippie Stix Kit $20 for (3) .36 ounce lippies on their website.

This kit is billed as the newest trio of Blur finish Lippie Stix.

The shades from left to right are: Lion Dance (brick red), Lucky Charm (berry red) and Red Pocket (true red). This set was part of their 2021 Lunar New Year Collection.

What I’ve learned from these swatches: The formula is super creamy and the pigmentation is a hint lighter than their regular Lippie Stix. This, I think will give a nice just bitten wash of color to the lips.

ColourPop Lippie Stix in the shade Oh Behave (rich chocolate cherry) is part of the Wild Child Collection. This lippie retails for $7 for .035 ounces of product on their website.

This lippies is billed as one swipe pigmentation in a melt-on-your-lips crème finish in a super comfortable formula loaded with skin-loving ingredients like shea butter and Vitamin E.

What I learned from this swatch: First the scent is divine! It’s got a caramel scent to it that’s not too sweet and not too synthetic smelling. The pigmentation is just a pigmented as their regular Lippie Stix formula and has a nice slip to it.

ColourPop Lippie Stix in the shade Brat Pack (mid-tone pinky nude) is part of the Wild Child Collection.

The pigmentation is just a pigmented as their regular Lippie Stix formula and has a nice slip to it and this shade is heavenly!!!

ColourPop 5 pan palette in the color story S.W.A.K. $10 for .15 ounces of product making each shade $2 each on their website (but is currently out of stock). This is part of the Valentine’s Day Collection.

This palette is billed as a nude pink 5-pan palette that is romantic and features a mix of sparkling metallics and rich mattes to create the perfect date night look.

The shades from left to right are: Besos (pale gold with a pink shift – metallic), Smooch (pinky nude with pink and gold pinpoints – sequin matte), XXX (pinky rose gold – metallic), Canoodle (deep rose – matte), and MACK (deep red – pressed pigment).

What I’ve learned from these swatches: This palette is so much more than I thought it was going to be. The shadows are finely milled and silky and they gave great pigment in just 1 swipe.

ColourPop 5 Pan Palette in the color story Melt 4 U $$10 for .15 ounces of product making each shade $2 each on their website. This is part of the Valentine’s Day Collection.

This palette is billed as a warm pink 5-pan palette that is sweeter than a box of chocolate! Create the sweetest looks with a mix of metallic and matte shadows perfect for your everyday look.

The shades from left to right are: Bonbon (soft peach pink – metallic), Sweetie (yellow toned pink – matte), Dipped (pink with a gold shift), Ganache (mid toned warm pink with hot pink and gold pearl pinpoints – sequin matte), and Dutch (warm rose – pressed pigment).

What I learned from these swatches : This palette is not as pigmented as I thought it would be, to be fair they are more pastel in hue than the SWAK palette is but the shades are so romantic and even pair well with the other palette.

ColourPop Wild Child 9 pan palette $14 for .3 ounces of product making each shade $1.56 each on their website, this is part of their Wild Child Collection.

This palette is billed as a new 9-pan rich warm chocolate monochromatic palette featuring perfect rich chocolate browns in multiple finishes.

The shades from left to right are: #Spotted (warm mid toned brown – matte), Fierce (soft copper – metallic), Ground Crew (deep terracotta – matte), Close Up (warm chocolate – metallic), Lashes (chocolate with pinpoints of silver and copper – pressed glitter), Grasslands (deep brown with silver and gold pearl – sequin matte), Herd to Get (chocolate cherry – matte),and Icon (dark chocolate – metallic), Feisty (blackened plummy brown – matte).

What I learned about these swatches: First of all this whole collection’s theme is stinkin’ cute!! I love Giraffes and typically when someone is doing a “wild theme” it’s either leopard or cheetah print…. nay nay… not ColourPop… they said give us all the Giraffe print and I am seriously here for it! Second of all every shade in this palette is amazing!!! I even truly, from the bottom of my heart, love the pressed glitter in this palette! I know right?? Me… love a glitter… whatever ColourPop did with this pressed glitter is so different from their normal pressed glitter formula. It’s not chunky or flakey and it has tons of pigmentation!!! Dare I say the tides are changing for me and my ever evolving hate for glitter??? The mates are finely milled and the metallics are smooth and super saturated with pigment. The sequin matte in this palette is heavy inundated with glitter and does in fact transfer to the work area… however at this time I don’t know if that translates to major fallout on the face yet.

I am currently waiting on my second ColourPop order… I ordered it on the 10th and it’s currently in the mail now… I ordered their clear brow gel, their Stone Cold brush roll, their new cream bronzer and their new liquid highlighter.

At the time of writing this post I also hopped on their website and made another small purchase for the last of the palettes in their Valentines Day collection – the 143 palette. I also purchased a bottle of the Hyaluronic Hydrating Primer, and the Wine & Only palette… I will haul those 2 purchased when I receive them.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Remember dolls…. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
